Refund policy

At Readiot, we strive to make your book lending experience as smooth as possible. Please review our updated return policy.

1. Return Period
• Books must be returned within 14 days from the date of borrowing.
• If you need more time, please visit our website and go to the Extend Rental section to request an extension. Extensions will be granted based on availability and at our discretion.

2. Condition of Books
• Books must be returned in the same condition as they were borrowed.
• If the book is damaged or lost, the borrower is responsible for covering the replacement cost. This will be discussed with the borrower directly.

3. Late Returns
• A late fee of ₹20 per day will be charged for books returned after the 14-day period.
• The late fee is applied to encourage timely returns, ensuring that books are available for other readers.

4. Missing or Damaged Books
• If a book is missing, damaged beyond repair, or returned with excessive wear, the borrower will be charged for the full replacement cost of the book.
• The replacement cost will be determined by the current market price of the book at the time of replacement.

5. No Refunds for Rentals
• Please note that no refunds will be issued for rental transactions. Once the book is borrowed, it is considered a completed transaction.

6. Returns Process
• To return a book, please go to Accounts > Orders in your Readiot account, and click on Return for the book you wish to return. We’ll arrange a pickup or provide details for the return process.

7. Exceptions
• Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on books that have been heavily damaged or lost. However, we will work with you on a case-by-case basis to find a suitable resolution.
